Home/How We Test

How We Test

At AIForker, our reputation rests on the quality and honesty of our testing. We do not publish reviews based on product demos, vendor interviews, or marketing materials. Every piece of content you see here is grounded in direct, hands‑on experience.

This page explains our methodology in detail, so you know exactly how we reach our conclusions.

Our Testing Process

We follow a consistent, multi‑step process for every tool we review.

  1. Hands‑on Registration and Setup

We create a fresh account for each tool, using the same email domain and payment method (when a paid plan is required) to simulate a real user’s experience. We go through the entire onboarding flow — including email verification, team invites, and initial configuration — and note any friction points, unclear instructions, or broken steps.

  1. Real‑World Usage Scenarios

We do not test in a vacuum. Instead, we use the tool to solve actual problems that our audience faces. Common scenarios include:

  • Writing long‑form blog posts, product descriptions, and ad copy
  • Generating images, logos, or social media visuals
  • Analysing spreadsheets, PDFs, or JSON data
  • Automating repetitive tasks like email drafting or summarisation
  • Building chatbots, RAG pipelines, or simple AI agents

Each tool is evaluated in at least three different use cases to ensure we cover its core functionality.

  1. Identical Prompt and Input Conditions

When we compare two or more tools (e.g., ChatGPT vs. Claude, or Midjourney vs. DALL‑E), we use exactly the same prompts, parameters, and source data. This ensures that performance differences are due to the tool, not to variations in our testing. We capture screenshots, logs, and output samples, which we keep on file for reference.

  1. Results Analysis and Verdict

We evaluate output quality across multiple dimensions: accuracy, speed, cost efficiency, and ease of use. Final verdicts are reviewed by at least two team members before publication.

What We Never Do

  • We never publish reviews based solely on vendor claims or marketing materials.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage.
  • We do not recycle press releases as reviews.
  • We never compare tools we have not personally tested.

How We Stay Current

AI tools evolve rapidly. We revisit our reviews on a regular schedule and update them whenever a major version change, pricing shift, or new feature significantly alters the tool’s value proposition.

If you spot something outdated or incorrect, please contact us. We welcome constructive feedback and will correct errors promptly.
