Tutti Review: The Multi-Agent Workspace That Actually Solves the Context Switching Problem

Stop Re-Explaining Your Project to Every AI Agent

I ran into a familiar wall last week. I was halfway through building a project with Claude Code when the credits ran out. I switched to Codex to keep going. And then came the painful part: spending fifteen minutes walking Codex through everything Claude Code had already done, what files were changed, what the original requirements were, what still needed finishing.

I have multiple AI agents available. I have powerful tools. But every time I switch between them, I start from zero. The context dies at the session boundary.

Then I found Tutti.

What Is Tutti?

Tutti (github.com/tutti-os/tutti) is a multi-agent real-time shared workspace that just went open source. It connects directly to Claude Code and Codex, with Hermes, Gemini, and OpenClaw listed as coming soon.

The interface looks like an OS. A dock at the bottom holds your apps. Tutti ships with its own built-in tools: product prototype design, AI documents, presentations, image generation. Each of these can tap into whatever agent you have connected. So your existing Claude or Codex subscription becomes the brain behind Tutti’s native apps.

But the real story is what happens between agents.

The Core Feature: Context That Follows the @

Here is what makes Tutti different. When you work in Claude Code on one task and need to hand off to Codex, you do not copy-paste your way through seventeen chat messages. You just type @ and select the Claude Code session you want to reference.

Tutti pulls in the full conversation history. Your original request. The agent’s responses. File diffs. Every change made. Codex reads it all directly. It sees exactly what you were building, what decisions were made, what still needs work.

No human summarization. No okay so basically I was building a filler. The agent has the full context already.

I tested this hands-on. I started a new project in Tutti: a 2026 World Cup live scores app. It needed a product spec, a design mockup, frontend code, and a few generated images. Normally that would mean at least four tools and an exhausting amount of repetition.

In Tutti, I opened Claude Code and had it outline the requirements. Then I @ mentioned Tutti’s built-in Product Prototype app right from the same conversation, asked it to generate a mockup based on the spec. It did. I previewed it inside Tutti’s browser, gave feedback, iterated. The finished mockup sat in the shared workspace, accessible to the next agent.

When it was time to build, Claude Code read the mockup directly from the workspace. No downloads. No screenshots. No here is the design please build this. It just had the file.

The image generation step was the same. Claude Code called Codex through Tutti’s interface, used GPT-Image 2 to generate venue photos, and patched them straight into the project. All without me re-explaining what the app was or what style we were going for.

Why This Is Actually Different

Tutti is not just another dashboard that wraps a few AI tools. It is not a fancy chat interface that happens to call multiple models. What it adds is an environment layer that the AI space has mostly ignored.

Most multi-agent setups treat each agent as a standalone unit. You prompt one, get results, manually carry the relevant pieces to the next. Tutti treats project state as a first-class citizen. The context, the files, the task history, the outputs from one agent, all of it lives in a shared space that every connected agent can read.

For the agents, it is the difference between being handed a sticky note and being handed a well-organized notebook with a table of contents. They can pull what they need rather than waiting for you to summarize.

For you, it means actually getting to orchestrate a workflow of specialized agents without becoming a human router manually passing context between them.

What You Can Connect

Currently supported: Claude Code and Codex.

Coming soon: Hermes, Gemini, and OpenClaw.

Built-in apps: Product prototype design, AI document generation, presentation builder, and image generation powered by your connected agent.

All of these apps use your own Claude or Codex subscription. You are not paying for Tutti’s AI on top of your existing plan. You are using your existing plan inside a more capable environment.

The Honest Take

Tutti solves a specific problem that anyone running multiple AI agents already feels. If you switch between Claude Code and Codex regularly, or if you are managing a workflow that requires design, code, and images, this is the kind of infrastructure that makes that actually manageable.

The handoff mechanic alone is worth paying attention to. Context switching between agents has been a known pain point for months. Tutti is one of the first tools that treats it as a real engineering problem rather than just telling users to be more specific in your prompts.

It is new and open source. Expect rough edges and active development. But the core idea is solid, and the implementation actually delivers on the promise.

If you are running more than one AI agent on a regular basis, this is worth a look.
